Startup Wildcats is seeking a student with social media experience to help manage Startup Wildcats Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, design and publish our monthly newsletter, and build out the storytelling of Startup Wildcats.

The Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection (CSDP) protects the biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert in southern Arizona through science-based advocacy, education, and collaboration. This intern will assist the Conservation Science Director with maintaining CSDP’s wildlife camera photo database to help translate community science into tangible conservation in our Wildlife Camera Program. The intern will gain knowledge in wildlife camera research, photo database management, image analysis software, and wildlife species identification through image analysis.

This student will also assist with planting, caring for plants and insect cultures, and washing pots, insect cages and labware. Some weekend work will be required, including some greenhouse work. The student needs to be willing to do some work outside during the summer. An interest in biology is preferred but not required.

The Tigreros Lab, in the Department of Entomology, is looking for a motivated and research-focused work-study student to join the lab (paid or research credit) throughout the academic year. The student will assist with planting, caring for plants and insect cultures (mainly caterpillars and butterflies), and washing pots, insect cages and labware. Some weekend work may be required, including some greenhouse work. An interest in Entomology is preferred but not required.
