Controlled Environment Agriculture Student Association
CEASA is a group interested in hydroponics and controlled environment agriculture. Members have year-round access to a University of Arizona research greenhouses to experiment with different systems and grow crops for sale at the local farmer’s market.
Defenders of Wildlife
Defenders of Wildlife Campus Clubs are student-led conservation clubs dedicated to furthering the mission of Defenders of Wildlife through political advocacy and peer-to-peer engagement. Members of Defenders of Wildlife at the University of Arizona strive to protect biodiversity across the Southwest, working with local organizations and policymakers to encourage environmental accountability and a healthy future for all life on earth.
Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME)
The mission of SME is to build a reputation upon respect, integrity, and professionalism while promoting awareness in the fields of mining, metallurgy and exploration through education and direct exposure to mining practices, equipment, sustainability and safety.
Students for Sustainability (SFS)
Students for Sustainability is an ASUA program that works to engage the student body in order to cultivate environmental literacy from many perspectives. SFS works to do this through empowering student leaders, advancing social justice and equality, and in pursuing institutionalized sustainability at the university and within Tucson.
Sustainable Built Environments (SBE) Student Club
SBESC is a student-run club for students majoring in SBE who promote and educate the campus and Tucson community about sustainable built environments with events and projects, professional networking, and social events related to sustainable environments.
Tierra Seca
Tierra Seca is the University of Arizona chapter of the Society for Range Management. Member have the opportunity to participate in activities including outdoor recreation, guest speakers, volunteering, and fundraising. Tierra Seca provides a forum for people to come together with common interests, professional development, and volunteer on natural resource projects in the Tucson area.
