Shelley Littin

Communications Lead, AIRES

As AIRES' Communications Lead, Shelley manages internal and external communications channels and messaging. She compiles the community newsletter, The Dirt, and the staff newsletter, AIRWaves. She also works with the RII Communications and UANews teams to write and disseminate press releases for AIRES achievements and notable events, manage media and campus relations, and coordinate graphic design and other media creations. Shelley supervises a student team responsible for AIRES’ social media, JEDI resource development, and Green Guides, the AIRES student engagement platform.

Shelley is broadly interested in science communication, science diplomacy, and applied anthropology. Prior to joining AIRES, she worked as a science writing intern at the UANews office and as Marketing and Communications Coordinator for CyVerse, an NSF-funded cyberinfrastructure project led by UArizona. She wants to help build a thriving society by solving problems in infrastructure, health and wellness, resource access, social justice, and environmental sustainability.
