Jeffrey Silvertooth

Professor, Associate Dean, and Director of Economic Development and Extension, Soil, Water and Environmental Science

Jeffrey Silvertooth's research program is directed towards the development of crop production management strategies that optimize the soil-plant system agronomically and economically, with full consideration of the short- and long-term impact of inputs environmentally. The study of the soil-plant relationships regarding nutrients essential to cotton and cantaloupes is an important part of his research, as well as salinity andsodicity management in agricultural soils.
