When

3 to 5 p.m., May 3 to 5, 2023

The Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research at the University of Arizona, in recognizing the recent and forthcoming retirement of four prominent dendroclimatologist colleagues, is convening a scientific conference to celebrate the careers of Malcolm Hughes, Dave Meko, Ramzi Touchan, and Connie Woodhouse.

We also aim to look towards the next generations of dendroclimatology, dendrohydrology, and high-resolution paleoclimatology research. While the focus is on the research, the program will also include time to give more personal tributes.

The preliminary program is:

Wednesday May 3

3pm Bannister Building Lab and Archive Tours & Informal Mixer

5:30pm Reception and recognition of Director Emeritus Malcolm Hughes

Thursday May 4

9am-5pm Scientific sessions, including coffee and lunch

5:30pm Reception in honor of Dave Meko, Ramzi Touchan, and Connie Woodhouse

Friday May 5
