An innovative, multi-faceted Life Science company has a position opening for a Soil Scientist.

This person will do some field work, case studies, presentations to customers at their location, and attend weekly meetings with other science team members. Domestic travel will be required occasionally throughout the year, and to a lesser degree, some international travel. This person must be able to work outside a lab setting and be able to answer technical questions through a variety of media including telephone, email, video conferencing and in person presentations. Applicant should be able to derive and understand existing corporate branded products and how they solve grower's problems and enhance their needs.

The second part of the role is to anticipate customer's unforeseen needs through thoughtful consideration of technological trends and a keen awareness of the factors influencing the agriculture, horticulture and mineral based personal product industries. Applicant will need to comprehend industry trends and anticipated intersection of technology and nature.

Preferred Skills : 2-3 years plant physiology experience. Proficiency communication skills, detailed oriented and the ability to solve problems in an unbiased fashion and anticipate unforeseen problems is a plus.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree in related science such as environmental science, environmental microbiology, soil chemistry and biology and/or ecology. Spanish speaking is a plus.
