Opportunity Description: 

The USGS Southwest Biological Science Center (SBSC) housed within the School of Natural Resources and the Environment is seeking a student to provide administrative and budget support, and assist with various tasks around the office. Qualified applicants should be organized, efficient, and self-motivated. This position will pay $10/hour (Work Study preferred but not required) and should expect to work 15-20 hours/week.

Some of the required duties:

· Mail pick-up and delivery

· Plans meetings and communicates arrangements to SBSC

· Maintains calendars for SBSC staff

· Copies, scans, prints, and files documents

· Arranges and reviews travel reservations and itineraries

· Takes vehicles for maintenance, processes vehicle charge cards and reports mileage

· Reconciles accounts and balances credit card statements

· Assists scientists with field preparation

· Assist with supervision of front desk and answering phones

· Organizes and enters field data

· Must pass a background check for use of federal computers

· Required to drive federal vehicles
