2020 EPAZ Environmental Scholarship Program (Deadline Dec. 31, 2019)

Opportunity Description: 

Encouraging students who have invested their future in the environment, EPAZ will award up to $8,000 in scholarships to students in graduate and undergraduate environmental programs in Arizona.

To qualify, you must:

  1. Be an undergraduate or graduate student in an Arizona environmental program.
  2. Be pursuing a career in the environmental field.
  3. Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and making satisfactory progress.
  4. Be a full or part-time student for the 2019-2020 academic year in an Arizona environmental program.

(Please note that if you are not currently enrolled in an academic program then you will need to wait and apply for this scholarship opportunity once you have been enrolled in the eligible program)

If you meet these qualifications, complete our online application by December 31, 2019.

The online scholarship application will require the following questions to be answered in essay form within a limit of two pages.

  1. Why are you interested in pursuing a career in the environmental area?
  2. Describe any environmental experience you have, e.g. volunteer work, jobs, etc.
  3. What specific environmental areas are you most interested in and why?
  4. How do you plan to benefit the Arizona environment with your education?

The online application requires contact information for two references and you will be required to upload the following documents:

  • Letters of Reference from two references
  • Academic Transcript
  • Essay

Scholarships include a complimentary one year EPAZ membership, including free attendance at the Annual EPAZ Conference and free monthly technical meetings. (Winners are invited and encouraged to participate.)
