Degree/Minor Description: 

Students who pursue a minor in Latin American Studies will gain a basic understanding of the culture, politics, history, environment, and experiences in Latin America. Students will be exposed to literature, language, and information that will allow them to obtain an all-encompassing picture of what Latin America is, and the beauty that is within the region as well as the challenges that the region faces. Students will learn about concerns that Latin America faces when confronted with environmental challenges as well as what is being done to provide solutions for those challenges.

Research Opportunities: 

Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy: The Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy sponsors policy-relevant, interdisciplinary research and forums that link scholarship and education. The Center specializes in issues concerning environmental policy, immigration policy of the United States and indigenous nations policy.
