Thomas McDonald joined the Institute of the Environment in May 2011. He is the point man for the Institute’s organization of large-scale events such as the Adaptation Futures: 2012 International Conference on Climate Adaptation. In addition, he supports the co-directors and director for renewable energy in other various initiatives related to outreach, education, and program management. A native Tucsonan, Thomas graduated from the UA with a Master of Public Administration, focusing on environmental organizations and policy. He was the recipient of the Lionel E. Rombach Outstanding MPA Student Award for his work with the National Audubon Society, Habitat for Humanity Tucson, and the MPA student board.
