Religion has been a central force in world history, and it continues to play a powerful role in the human experience. Students will study the dynamic traditions of world religions, the role of religion in global politics, the relationship of religion and science, the role of religion in ecological frameworks, and the religious dimensions of art and culture. The Religious Studies program provides a Religion and Ecology concentration that students can pursue in order to learn more about how environment influences religion and how religion influences how people interact with the environment. This degree prepares students for careers or further education in business, government, medicine, law, education, and social services.
