Public Administration (MPA) - Accelerated Master's Program 

Program Description

The Accelerated Master of Public Administration would allow academically talented  University of Arizona undergraduates the opportunity to begin Master level course work beginning their undergraduate Senior year. This would allow students to earn a BS and MPA in as little as five years.

The School of Government and Public Policy was formed in 2009 by combining two highly ranked programs – political science and public administration and policy - bringing them under a single roof. Located in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, SGPP is one of the largest schools at the University of Arizona and is uniquely situated to serve as a new model for public affairs education by promoting high-caliber research, teaching, community outreach, and civic leadership.

By offering leading programs in political science, international relations, public policy, and public management, SGPP prepares men and women for leadership positions in the public and nonprofit sectors.

 

Research Opportunities: 

Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy: The Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy sponsors policy-relevant, interdisciplinary research and forums that link scholarship and education. The Center specializes in issues concerning environmental policy, immigration policy of the United States and indigenous nations policy.

Water Resources Research Center: The WRRC promotes understanding of critical state and regional water management and policy issues through research, community outreach and engagement, and public education.
