SUPPORT THE INSTITUTE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
In our quest to inform solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges, the Institute of the Environment is committed to the highest standards of research, the advancement of shared learning, continuous student enrichment, and collaborations across the University of Arizona campus and beyond. The need for private support is greater than ever before. Please join us by supporting our work as we aim to ensure a bright future for our planet, its people, and its wildlife and natural resources.
Ways to Donate
There are many ways to make a gift to the Institute of the Environment.
This is the simplest way to support the Institute of the Environment. Checks should be made out to the University of Arizona Foundation – Institute of the Environment, with a note indicating how you want your donation to be spent. Checks may be mailed to Institute of the Environment, University of Arizona, 845 N. Park Ave., Suite 532, PO Box 210158b, Tucson, AZ 85721.
Many companies match the charitable contributions of their employees. In essence, you are doubling your money and doubling your support. Check with your human resources department for more information.
Gifts of appreciated securities can provide special tax advantages, including a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the gift and avoidance of capital gains taxes. Stocks, bonds, and mutual funds are accepted.
You may bequeath a specific asset, a dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after all other gifts have been distributed. You can choose how the University of Arizona may use the funds from your bequest.
Gifts of real estate are sold quickly and converted into cash or used directly in connection with an existing Institute of the Environment program. Accepted types of real are vacant land, residential property, or commercial property.
Tangible personal property that relates to the charitable purpose of the UA may be eligible for a deduction equal to the full fair market value of the item.
