The Andes Mountains stretch more than 4,000 miles along the western edge of South America from the Caribbean to the tip at Tierra del Fuego. The UA's Susan Beck has been monitoring movement of the Andes since 1992 and has built a picture of how the mountains formed and how they are moving today.
