The Cart Service is a free service provided to all UA faculty, staff and students, and public participants in University programs who have a temporary or permanent impairment that creates a need for special transportation services. The cart service covers areas of the campus that are not serviced by Cat Tran, the wheelchair accessible free campus shuttle.
Bicycle parking is available throughout campus and is designated by the presence of bicycle racks, lockers, and/or specifically designated bicycle parking areas/enclosures. Bicycles must be parked at a rack or within the boundaries of designated bicycle areas/enclosures and properly attached to a bicycle rack or secured within a bicycle locker.
PTS will be offering valet parking for bicycles in front of the Nugent Building. This will provide students and employees a convenient, safe and secure way to park a bike on campus. No worry about having a bike lock, no looking for space at a bike rack. This is just another way that PTS is working to encourage alternate transportation and to help us have a more sustainable campus.
PTS offers a free emergency ride home program for University of Arizona employees and students who are alternative transportation users. The emergency ride home program is designed to encourage people to use our campus alternative transportation programs, and still have the ability to get home if an emergency arises.
Pima Association of Governments (PAG) has implemented a vanpool program to assist with the formation of vanpools at the University of Arizona. The PAG vanpool program will enable all residents in southern Arizona to save money and reduce the stress of their daily commute by starting or joining a vanpool.
Sun Rideshare is a free carpool matching service for commuters and employers in Pima County. Participation is voluntary. The program provides interested applicants with a "matchlist" of other commuters who live and work near them and also want to carpool. Commuters set up their own carpools to fit their particular commuting needs.
All UA students are eligible for the SunGO Discounted Program. The SunGO gives you unlimited use of the Sun Link streetcar, Sun Tran, and select Sun Shuttle routes. Parking & Transportation pays for up to 50% of the cost of the full fare rate.
Cat Wheels is a PTS initiative designed to give you free and easy access to bicycle transportation on the University's campus. If you want to get from point to point on campus in a hurry, there's no better way to do so than on the seat of a Cat Wheels Bike. Once you've completed the registration process, checking out a Cat Wheels Bike takes no time at all. And the bike is yours to keep for the next 24 hours.
The University of Arizona Cycling Club will provide a free bike valet at the entrance to Spring Fling on Cherry Avenue.
New members of each dorm’s Hall Council will travel to YMCA-Triangle Y Ranch and Retreat Center for Hall Leadership Camp. Eco-Reps and the Advocates Coming Together (ACT) Reps will stay an additional day. During this time, students will participate in activities designed to teach them how to be leaders in the areas of sustainability and social justice.
