Degree/Minor Description: 

Students who minor in Philosophy will gain a basic understanding of how to approach questions that humans tend to face and how to think critically about them. Those interested in issues of the environment will have the opportunity to take courses in environmental ethics, personal morality, medical ethics, contemporary moral problems, and philosophical perspectives on society. In each of these courses students will learn about values and obligation, which they can use to explore the relationship between the ethical life and our duties to the environment. Students will also investigate a broad array of issues that philosophers think about.
