The Government and Public Policy minor will give students an overview of international and domestic politics and expose students to theory that is critical to the analysis and creation of public policy and good governance. Several courses within the minor have environmental policy creation and concerns as major components of the curriculum. These courses include Politics, Policy and Governance, the Politics and Policy of Globalization, and the Politics of Development.

Research Opportunities: 

Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy: The Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy sponsors policy-relevant, interdisciplinary research and forums that link scholarship and education. The Center specializes in issues concerning environmental policy, immigration policy of the United States and indigenous nations policy.

Water Resources Research Center: The WRRC promotes understanding of critical state and regional water management and policy issues through research, community outreach and engagement, and public education.
