Join us for an inspiring evening to honor Agnese Nelms Haury, a dedicated philanthropist and long time supporter of the University of Arizona.

The evening will feature excerpts from a viola concerto by Richard Wernick commissioned by the Agnese N. Lindley Foundation and a prose reading from, "The Line Becomes a River: Dispatches from the Border," by author Francisco Cantú. Tiezheng Shen, award winning violist, will perform the viola excerpts.

Continuing Mrs. Haury's legacy of philanthropy, three UA/community teams will present their proposals to address a "wicked" societal problem during the second half of the evening. The teams address the diverse topics of sustainable water purification, community engaged urban agriculture, and low income solar loans.

The judges will announce the winning team to receive funding for three years, after refreshments in the Environment and Natural Resources Building 2 courtyard. Parking is available in the 6th Street Garage.
